The airport bus between Umeå city center and Umeå Airport gets an updated timetable from Saturday, February 22. Route 80, which operates the Umeå Airport–Vasaplan–Umeå Airport route, is being adjusted to the new flight schedule.
The new times take effect from the first departure on Saturday morning. Passengers should check new departure times to avoid missing the bus.
Why is the timetable changing?
Timetable changes for the airport bus usually result from changes in airline departure and arrival times. When airlines add or change departures, the airport bus needs to be adjusted so travelers can make their flights.
Finnair's establishment at Umeå Airport from March 29 may be one reason the timetable is being reviewed already, to ensure good connections.
Where to find new times?
The updated timetable is available at:
- Tabussen.nu/flygbussen
- Länstrafiken app
- Länstrafiken customer service at 0771-100 110
- Signs at bus stops
Important for air passengers
The airport bus recommends travelers arrive at the airport at least one hour before departure for domestic flights and two hours for international flights. Plan your journey with margin, especially during periods of heavy traffic or poor road conditions.
In case of delays or canceled departures, information is updated at Tabussen.nu and in Länstrafiken's app.
Alternative routes
In addition to the airport bus, travelers can reach Umeå Airport by:
- Taxi
- Private car (parking available at the airport)
- Private ride
- Bicycle in summer (about 5 kilometers from Röbäck)
Future changes
When Nobina takes over city transport in June with fully electric buses, the airport bus will likely also be electrified. This further reduces emissions from public transport and makes travel to the airport more sustainable.
