Hip hop artist Hurula comes to Väven in Umeå on March 13 with his sixth studio album "Existens". The concert is part of an extensive Scandinavian tour that has been running since November 2025 and concludes in Stockholm on March 20.

On "Existens", Hurula presents self-experienced, dark and socially realistic stories. The album represents a continuation of his characteristic expression – Swedish hip hop with deep, socially critical lyrics and personal portrayals from everyday life.

Tour with Nektar

During the second part of the tour, which includes the Umeå concert, Hurula is joined by Nektar as support. The tour has during spring passed through cities like Linköping (March 6) and Gävle (March 7) before reaching Umeå.

Over the years, Hurula has built up a loyal audience that appreciates his unsentimental storytelling and ability to depict vulnerability and everyday struggle without simplifying or romanticizing. His music is rooted in Swedish reality and gives voice to experiences rarely heard in mainstream culture.

Established Swedish hip hop artist

With six albums behind him, Hurula belongs to the generation of Swedish hip hop artists who have established themselves outside the major commercial streams. His music reaches an audience seeking substance and authenticity over radio-adapted pop-rap.

The concert at Väven on March 13 is an opportunity for the Umeå audience to experience an artist who has consistently chosen to go his own way in the Swedish music scene. Together with Nektar as support, it will be an evening of Swedish hip hop in its more uncompromising form.

Tickets are available via Tickster and Väven. More information about the concert and the artists can be found on Väven's website.
