Stockholm band Skraeckoedlan comes to Droskan in Umeå on March 13-14 with an anniversary tour celebrating ten years since the album "Sagor". The band presents a newly remastered version of the record that became a milestone in Swedish stoner and progressive rock.

The tour started on March 6 in Norrköping and includes a dozen performances around Sweden. That Skraeckoedlan chooses to play two nights in Umeå demonstrates the city's status as an important location for heavy rock and experimental music.

Myths and cosmic forces

Skraeckoedlan creates worlds rooted in stoner rock and progressive rock, where they weave in myths, cosmic beings and natural forces. The music is heavy yet melodic, complex yet accessible – a balance that has made the band cult favorites within the genre.

The album "Sagor" from 2016 is for many fans the band's most cohesive work, where the different songs form a narrative exploring mythological landscapes and existential themes. The newly remastered version gives the album new life with improved sound that highlights the details in the production.

Droskan – home for heavy music

Droskan in Umeå has established itself as an important venue for harder rock and metal in northern Sweden. The venue with its raw charm and good sound is perfect for bands like Skraeckoedlan, where volume and dynamics are central to the experience.

That the band plays two nights gives the audience the opportunity to choose dates, but it also testifies that there is an audience in Umeå for this type of music. The city has over the years fostered a scene for everything from hardcore to doom metal, and Droskan's program reflects this.

Ten years of Sagor

The jubilee marks a decade since "Sagor" was released – a time when the band cemented its position in the Swedish rock scene. Since then, Skraeckoedlan has continued to develop and tour, but "Sagor" remains for many the album that defines the band's sound.

The concert experience promises to be intense – Skraeckoedlan is known for its suggestive live performances where the music makes the audience forget time and space. The combination of heavy riffs, psychedelic passages and mythological stories creates an immersive atmosphere.

Tickets for the concert nights March 13-14 are available via Billetto and LiveNation. For fans of progressive and psychedelic rock, this is an obvious visit.
